I've just found this site holdenhistory.com, could I just copy the technical
articles from the web site or do I need special permission?. I'm writing a school project.

Most of the time it is proper netiquette to source the article you are reviewing,

It's always a good policy to assume that online writings are copywritten, or at least the original property of their authors.

Most researchers can be contacted and asked for permission to reproduce or expound upon their ideas, and most are more than willing to allow such.
the best policy is to ask first, but if no contact can be had, at least reference where you got what you used and give due credit to the originator.
